Poems
Justin Simpson, New South Wales Regional Meeting
In Silence Together
Quietly we listen
to the whispering wind
gaze softly
at the wind-swept ocean
concentrate deeply
on the vast horizon
(silent pause)
we’re sitting
in silence together
Reintegration
Slowly, slowly, we awaken
gradually perceiving our deep connection
with the living world
a loving God
alongside each human being
every living thing
bit by bit, our life becomes reintegrated
and quietly our world’s regenerated
Unitive
I’ve been discovering
that God is unitive
he’s bringing all things together
and no
God isn’t punitive
he’s not angry or untethered
And I’m uncovering
how God is so creative
she keeps making her creation
and also
God’s regenerative
she’s getting us into her restoration
God’s bringing all things together
