January 2026 Yearly Meeting
We are glad to welcome you to our next Yearly Meeting from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th January 2026. Join online as an individual among many Friendly faces or join a pod near you to share refreshments, local activities and the experience of the online sessions.
At our Yearly Meetings, we find out about Friends’ concerns across Australia and how these are being carried forward, challenges being faced, and times of celebration. We deepen friendships and make new connections.

In advance
- Watch out for news in Streamlines of sessions in advance. There could be Preparatory and Information Sessions ahead of consideration of business at formal sessions on Saturday and Sunday.
Friday 9th January
- Join a Spiritual Retreat with Drew Thomas and Kerstin Reimers from 11:15am AEDT.
- Hear Molly Harriss Olson at 6:30pm AEDT speak on “The Greatest Human Predicament: Quaker witness and action on the multiple crises now enfolding humanity” and take part in the worship sharing that follows.
Saturday 10th January
- Join Liz Shield for the All-Ages Meeting for Worship at 11am AEDT.
- Hear what is happening in our Regional Meetings: activities, concerns, challenges and times of celebration at 12pm AEDT.
- Join the Quakers Australia (QA) Annual General Meeting at 2:30 pm AEDT with reports from QA office bearers and staff Duncan Frewin (Presiding Clerk), Jonathan Benyei (Treasurer), Joy Bowles (National Coordinator), Holly Dhynes (Communications and Publicity Manager), Jessica Morrison (Peaceworker), and Jo Temme (Children and Families Coordinator).
- Join Formal Session 1 to consider items of business in following the AGM.
- Join sessions for online community connection at 5pm AEDT.
Sunday 11th January
- Join your local Meeting for Worship in the morning.
- Hear Possum Hodgkin speak on “How to win the World Water Wars peacefully” at 1:30pm AEDT.
- Join Formal Session 2 at 3:15pm AEDT to participate in Yearly Meeting discernment of further matters of business and the final minute of record.
- Round off a weekend of Friendly community by joining an online Meeting for Worship with the Friends Online Recognised Meeting (FORM) at 5pm AEDT.
