is The Silver Wattle Quaker Centre, a centre for spiritual development and learning in Australia, is presenting an initial series of nine podcasts, based on the lives of some of the first and second-generation Quakers.

The start of this series was launched on World Quaker Day – 5^th October 2025 and a new episode will be released on the 5^th of each month.

Episode 1 sets the scene of the political and social strife that was happening in England during the mid-17^th century: civil war had broken out, a King was executed, and religious persecution was a regular occurrence.

Released on the 5^th November, episode 2 describes George Fox and his journey through life.

This series was a result of Michael Corbett, a Quaker for some 60 years, who had a Leading  to attend a course on 17^th century Friends at Silver Wattle in 2023, and returned home to lead a series of Spiritual Discussion Groups at his Meeting in Brisbane in 2024. That Leading grew into turning these group study sessions into this series of podcasts in 2025. Each podcast has a PDF attachment, so that it can be printed and read along with some thoughts for discussion in your Meeting.

The series is introduced by Ann Zubric, [a Board member of Silver Wattle and a former Presiding Clerk of Australia Y.M.], is produced by Holly Dhynes [Australia Y.M. Communications],  written and narrated by Michael Corbett.

Plans are being made to add a further 9 episodes, some which will be on the Quaker Testimonies.
