Welcome! Our focus is on creating a weekend gathering of worship, work and play with both online and on-ground opportunities for Friends of all ages to connect. We’re taking a fresh approach to include lots of “sharing & telling”.

Here’s the link to the draft program, which will continue to evolve:

A Summer’s Day Friday 17 January 2025 is an invitation to create your own playful all-ages activity to start the JanYM25 weekend. Whatever you create will be do-it-yourself with Friends in your own location. There’ll be an opportunity later to share with everyone how you spent this day. We wish you a wonderful time together.

Important reminder: If you’re including anybody under the age of 18 (or there’s the possibility they’ll come), please talk to your Child Safety (formerly Child Protection) Contact Friends to support your activity being held in a child-safe way.

Pictures at a Gallery (now until that same Friday) is an invitation for anyone, whether you will be taking part in the weekend itself or not, whatever your age, experience or ability, to send in a photo of something you have created to share with Friends. Sound recordings are also welcome. We’re planning a slideshow of Pictures at a Gallery during one of the sessions on Saturday 18 January 2025, but you can visit the Gallery any time online.

A special note: For this January Yearly Meeting 2025, until Child Safety guidelines are further refined, we’ll only be using first names or initials to identify the photos of your artistic creations, whatever your age. Please also avoid including anyone of whatever age in your photos.

Agenda items for corporate discernment by Friends (our Yearly Meeting business) are being finalised, and other sessions are also taking shape. We do plan to highlight matters from Regional Meeting reports, hear about various projects and concerns, and find out about the Quakers Australia Calendar and what plans Friends have for 2025.

Please keep an eye on the website for more information, as well as Streamlines and your Regional Meeting e-notices for further announcements.

We encourage you to join this January Yearly Meeting 2025 adventure and look forward to your involvement. Everyone is welcome!

Kerstin Reimers and Jennifer Burrell

    A question.

Has the January online AGM replaced th in-person gathering which has been held mid-year for the past few years?

If this gathering is still planned to be held could you please send me teh dates and location.

    In Friendship,

    Peter
